2ML and 2JE have been busy working on a technology design challenge. We have been making musical instruments.

First we discussed what materials and tools we would need as a whole class. Then we looked at some websites to find information about making instruments. We also looked at books containing real musical instruments. Next we had to decide which instrument we wanted to make and then we wrote out the steps we needed to follow to make our instruments. After we had done all our planning and designing, we made our instruments. We painted and decorated them. When we had all finished we got to play them. Finally, we had to decide how we felt about our finished product, what worked well and whether we could have done something better. We had lots of fun making and playing our musical instruments!
