The Coomera Link is going electronic from next term!
The school newsletter will be set up and distributed in an on-line format from the 16 April. Only a limited number of printed versions will be available from the front office.
There are many benefits that come about via this change.
§ Parents, staff members and other interested people will be able to access the newsletter from any internet enabled computer from 4pm each Wednesday. They do not need to rely on a student getting the newsletter home and retrieving it from a school bag
§ Non custodial parents and grandparents can access the school information easily, which is their right.
§ Newsletter readers will have the ability to read in detail the sections that they are most interested in or need to access.
§ Individual recipients manage their own email subscription so changes to email addresses, people leaving and coming will be managed.
§ Individual recipients will be able to unsubscribe themselves if the need arises.
§ We will be able to include school work, colour photos, even video content.
§ The newsletter will not be attached to the email. The email will contain a link to open the newsletter on the Internet.
§ The school will save on time and money in printing and distributing the newsletter.
§ The school will be able to prolong the life of the copier machines.
§ A smaller number of paper versions of the newsletter will be available from Admin from the Thursday each week.
§ The newsletter will incorporate the ‘look and feel’ of the school.
