The students have been learning some cool dance moves with Miss Hodge and making up their own groovy moves.
They have been experimenting in Science with chemical and physical changes and making volcanoes with Mrs Morris.
They have been designing and making some very creative 'Water Catchers' with Mrs King.
They have also been learning all their mapping skills such as compass points, grid references and drawing to scale with Mrs Sommerlad.
The students had a fantastic time in Week 9 when they attended the Bicycle Education Centre at Ashmore learning about riding their bikes safely on the road.
On Friday 27th February, the 2009 Coomera State School Student Leaders were presented with their badges and certificates by The Hon Margaret Keech, State Member for Albert and Minister for Child Safety and Minister for Women. Mrs Keech also addressed the assembly and spoke about the importance of leadership and commended our students for their outstanding behaviour.

The ceremony was followed by a morning tea, provided by the P & C, for our Student leaders and their families.

Swimming
This term more than 500 students from Coomera State School have attended learn to swim and stroke correction lessons at Gulliver’s Indoor Swim Centre. Each Thursday for 8 weeks students from all classes Prepto Year 7 travel by bus to attend a 40 minute lesson.
