Welcome back to school, we hope that you all had an enjoyable and safe Easter break.

Both 3NG and 3KV will be pleased to be back in their classrooms with their new roofs and freshly painted exterior.

The first week back will see us participate in the Fun Run, where we can run off all that chocolate we ate during the holidays. We are going to be very busy as we investigate a Life and Living unit. The students will be scientists and will explore the needs of living things and the environments they can be found in. On a rotational basis they will take care of the school frog pond and use this area to research eco-systems and food chains. Our maths, English, Science and SOSE are all tied up in this fun filled unit of work. We will culminate this unit with an excursion to the Botanic Gardens at Mt.Coot-tha at the end of the term.

This term also sees our students undertake NAPLAN. The students have been exposed to the format of these tests and have been busy practising concepts that they will encounter in the strands of Literacy and Numeracy. So don't forget to ask us how our seeds are doing when you see us around the school.
