Wildlife management in the school

17/11/2014
Our school is located within a wildlife corridor where native fauna live and sometimes  come into the school.  At the moment, wildlife are moving towards our buildings in order to seek water and to regulate their temperature. This is something that we are constantly monitoring across the whole school.  We do have procedures for dealing with sightings or incidents should wildlife become a concern at the school.

A toilet block was closed today for a couple of hours. As a precaution, we had a accredited snake contractor come into the school to locate any areas at risk and identify any hazards. All areas of the toilet block were inspected by the contractor and the building was given the all clear prior to the building being reopened.

We will maintain our extra vigilance during this extreme weather period as wildlilfe become a concern at the school.

Please contact me should you require any further information.
