Friday, 17th May is Walk Safely to School Day. All staff and students at Coomera State School, along with their parents/carers are encouraged to walk and commute safely to school.

The main objectives of walking safely to school is to:
* promote health
* help children develop vital road crossing skills
* reduce vehicle dependency and traffic congestion
* promote use of public transport

This Friday morning, we will meet outside the Coomera Police Station (corner Yaun Street and Dreamworld Parkway) at 8.15am. Officer Matt Gilles has very kindly offered to assist us with this important event by organising a police motorcycle and marked police car for the morning.

We will leave the Coomera Police Station at 8.25am and together we will "Walk Safely To School."
