Enrolments

We are currently taking out of catchment enrolments for PREP 2017, with limited places available for years 1 through to year 6.

Please contact our Enrolment Officer, Jodie Belcher on (07) 5519 6333 or alternatively you can download & complete the enrolment application forms below.  Send all completed enrolment application forms along with supporting evidence to admin@coomerass.eq.edu.au, or alternative drop them into our school office. Thank-you.

 


Coomera State School welcomes your inquiry and enrolment application. Please be aware that Coomera State School operates under an Enrolment Management Plan and has a designated enrolment boundary.

Age appropriate year levels (PDF) can assist in determining which year level your child will enter for the current year.

Parents will also need to organise uniforms and other school requirements before their children begin at the school.

 

STEP 1 - The enrolment application

 
  • Check the enrolment catchment map online by clicking here.
  • Type in your home address to ascertain if you are 'in catchment' or 'out of catchment for Coomera State School. Administration staff will also verify that your listed residential address is within the enrolment boundary.
  • Please read the Enrolment Managment Plan [PDF] for information before completing an 'out of catchment' application  [PDF]. Complete section 1 only. 
  • For 'in catchment' applications please complete the following documents accurately. Please ensure that you send a separate enrolment application for each child that you are enrolling:

  • Upon receipt of completed document, the enrolment officer will contact you to arrange an enrolment meeting.
 

 STEP 2 - The enrolment interview

 

You will need to prepare for the interview and will NEED to bring certain documents for the Deputy Principal to sight. Please ensure you have all of these documents to ensure a smooth enrolment process, as without the correct documents the enrolment may not be able to proceed.

Please bring the following items to the enrolment interview:

  • You and the children applying for enrolment.
  • Each child's original birth certificate or passport. This is required at enrolment and a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate must be provided or alternatively, the child’s original birth certificate may be presented and office staff will copy for school records. Students and parents born outside of Australia may need to provide visa and passport information upon enrolment.)
  • Your proof of residency - 2 documents required. Examples as follows;
    • Owners - rates notice.
    • Renters - lease agreement and a verification letter signed by a real estate agent.
    • Drivers' licence with current address
    • Electricity bill
  • Copies of any previous school report cards including NAPLAN if relevant.
  
 At the enrolment meeting we will;
 
  • Discuss the details on your enrolment application
  • Organise uniforms
  • Organise books
  • Organise for Student Resource Scheme (SRS) payment
  • Discuss enrolment agreement and policies

International students

The school can enrol international students. Depending upon where parents and/or students were born and the visa category, tuition may be free or by tuition fees.
 
Support for students with English as a Second Language may also be provided.

Special Education Program (SEP)

Our school has an attached Special Education Unit and Special Education Development Unit. These facilities provide support for children with low incidence disabilities across specified categories from birth to Year 6.
