Summative Tasks
All students are engaged with summative tasks for all key learning areas at various times during each term or semester, dependent upon when the subject is taught. These tasks are used to make judgements for reporting to parents. Teachers spend much time ensuring that students are engaged with what they need to know and do to be successful with the summative task. Students explore model responses, co-construct success criteria and develop personal goals aligned to the summative task. Teachers give frequent descriptive feedback and use self-reflection and peer feedback to help improve student outcomes.
