Welcome to Coomera State School which has a rich history and a small-school community feeling whilst being based in one of Australia's fastest growing areas.
At Coomera State School we are striving to maximise student's academic, social and emotional development by tailoring learning programs to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Our Mission is to strive for Exceptional Learning, for Every Student, on Every Day of the schooling year.
We cater for students from Prep to Year 6 and feed into a myriad of local high schools. We have an Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) based at the school that caters for children prior to school-age who require greater assistance in preparation for their transitions into Prep before entering their respective catchment schools.
We have a dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff (many who are longstanding members of our school community) who are committed to maximising student outcomes academically, socially and emotionally.
I encourage open communication between the school and the key stakeholders throughout our school community. At the forefront, it is important that all key stakeholders are engaged and working towards the common goal of maximising student outcomes.
The school delivers the Australian Curriculum whilst based in Lyn Sharratt's research to create a comprehensive framework for effective instruction, ensuring that every lesson is not just educational but also profoundly meaningful.
Coomera State School is proudly a Positive Behaviour for Learning school. We actively promote our core behaviour expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be a Learner across the school environment, within our learning spaces and at our weekly assemblies.
As a school community we value Student Leadership and support the notion of leadership density in our senior students. We have an active Student Council which is led by our School Captains and a strong process for developing and selecting our future school student leaders.
The school has a rich history of strong Parents and Citizens (P&C) involvement that enriches the collective school community. The P&C actively work alongside the school in maximising the schooling experience for our students and their families.
I warmly extend an invitation for you to schedule an appointment to discuss your child's enrolment and explore the extensive range of programs we offer at Coomera State School.
Warm regards,
Peter Tong
