Coomera State School is excited to announce that after conversations with our P&C and Principal Approval, and the current success for students, teachers and parents in 2021, it has been agreed that our Year 3 & Year 4 Students of 2022 will join this years students from Year 4 to have the opportunity to bring their own devices to enhance learning.

Coomera has decided to use iPads as the hardware device for BYOD, leveraging the Seesaw App to deliver content to students.

Current requirements for the iPad can be seen below. We have a portal through JB Hifi Education that offers discounts and benefits given to local QLD schools.

*Please note you do not have to purchase your child's iPad or accessories through
JB Hi Fi. If you have an existing device and accessories or can source from elswhere please do. JB Hifi Education offer discounts and warranty benefits better then most other retailers.

Students are required to have a full sized iPad (mini not compatible) (minimum 6th generation and 128gb storage preferred), screen protector (preferably glass), shock proof case, water proof carry case and headphones.

Before the start of Term 1 2022, please view the following video to setup your iPad.

We also recommend setting up Apple Family Sharing on your device.

Click this link for instructions to setup Apple Family Sharing

Please see the Parent Information Information Booklet for details regarding Wi Tech program

Please see the Wi Tech Student / Parent Application Form to be signed for next 2022 program.

In addition to the Acceptable use and Participation forms above, Coomera State School must also seek parent consent for content that is created by students and stored online. Details of each application will be in a Parent Consent survey that is emailed to each students parent or carer. The email contains a web link and username / password details to agree to consent for online services that students will use.
